In September 2020, FMSoft received funding from the "Open Source Software Supply Chain Lighting Project" which is initialized by Institute of Software of Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISCAS). And ISCAS became the first sponsor of the HybridOS open source collaboration project.

On Sep. 30, 2020, FMSoft released hiShell. We also updated the graphics stack for the device side of HybridOS and hiWebKit component. In addition, along with hiShell, we also released a complete HybridOS App (hiApp for short) source code to demonstrate the extended features we have made on hiWebKit.

On Aug. 28, 2020, FMSoft released hiWebKit, the key component of the HybridOS. This is another masterpiece of the development team since it announced the open source collaboration plan for HybridOS in 2018. The team released Graphics Stack for HybridOS in Dec. 2019, and released MiniGUI 5.0 in Mar. 2020.

With the release of MiniGUI 5.0.0, FMSoft also updated the graphics stack of HybridOS at the same time.

FMSoft today releases the 2D/3D graphics components, including hiMesa, hiDRM, hiDRMDrivers, and hiCairo. These components and MiniGUI together form the graphics stack of HybridOS.
